Janet Gabriel aka Sugar Brown
Vocal

Janet never fails to ignite every performance with her sizzling vocals, unique stage presence and her boundless energy! Her singing career has seen her performing internationally on stage with Prince, as well as collaborating with renowned producers from Moonstone Productions and The Ministry of Sound, culminating in the release of her debut album "The Fire Within" and a successful tour of Nigeria with her band Neophonics.

Gayle Fellows aka Feather Small
Vocal

Gayle is one of the earliest members of Phat Medallion having been there when it was just a twinkle in the Captain's eye!. As part of Phat Medallion, Gayle has cut her teeth in action at some of the most prestigious events in the UK including performances for ITV at venerable venues such as The Tower of London, Battersea Park, The Landmark Hotel in London and The Jazz Café.

Cecilia Boss aka Fuzzy Bear
Vocal

Cecilia is a highly seasoned singer and front person having performed nationally at venues as diverse as the Jazz Café, The Orange Club and The Queen Mary. Cecilia has worked with artists such as Renate and Tim Hawes (who penned the Hearsay hit 'Pure and Simple') and with regular performances at top functions all over the UK and internationally, Celia found her niche with Disco, Funk and Soul. Now happily installed as a singer with Phat Medallion she is now in her musical heaven!

Marco Andreose aka "Le Maestro"
Keyboard

Marco Andreose is the Phat Medallion musical director, having studied piano at Venice's Conservatorio B. Marcello. He graduated from the Conservatorio C. Pollini in. Prior to Phat Medallion Marco played piano for a Rock's Roll band and toured extensively the UK with a stint in Holland between 2000/2004. Marco is a highly respected and active musician on the session scene across the UK in his own right - as part of Phat Medallion he is all but unstoppable!

Mark Robinson aka
Guitars

Mark has been an active musician on the live performance scene for many years both locally and nationally, having performed in venues such as London's Nexus and Birmingham NEC with numerous professional function bands. Mark is also a Director and Head of Guitar for the Rocksteady Music Group as well as a busy producer. He is also an editor for www.alloutguitar.com.

Ian Fellows aka Captain Groover
Drums

Ian is the founder and band leader of Phat Medallion having given birth to his baby over 7 years ago! Since then he has watched it grow into a formidable presence on the functions and events circuit. A graduate from Drumtech and a registered Drumsense tutor, Ian is an active and highly experienced musician on the live performance scene throughout the UK and abroad, having undertaken a tour of the Southern United States. Ian is a Director and Head of Drums for the Rocksteady Music Group.

Emil Engstrom aka The Funky Swede!
Bass Guitar

Some say he makes girls cry and that his bass guitar is fashioned from an old lead pipe. All we know is his called "The Swede", the Funky Swede.

Rumour has it that he is actually two people and that they trained at the Musicians Institute in London...

Gareth Morgan aka Doctor Bass
Bass Guitar

A member of Phat Medallion since its inception, Gareth is an accomplished bass player whose impeccable sense of groove helps to drive the band along. A veteran of the club circuit in the South of England, Gareth has supported artists as diverse as Julia Fordham, The Blues Band and Geno Washington. Gareth can also be seen holding down the bass duties for live circuit favourites Sammy Rat's Big Big Blues Band with appearances at Guilfest.

Chris Saunders
Guitar

Chris is a fantastic guitarist and performer, with an "earthy blues / funk" background having learned his craft from the school of life! When he's not grooving out with Phat Medallion can be found running blues nights in Hampshire as well as performing and fronting his blues/funk band Five Field Holler. Chris is also the guitarist for R&B Funk outfit Neophonics.

Robin Lowry aka "Thundersticks"
Drums

Robin is a graduate from Guildford's ACM and is a very active and experienced drummer on the functions and club circuit. With a pumpin groove, he is also a highly regarded drum tutor in the Hampshire area and a member of Five Field Holler blues band as well as R&B Funk outfit Neophonics.
